We enjoy together…

Peterborough Community Chorus was formed in September 2019 to compliment the work of Peterborough Male Voice Choir and Peterborough Voices, providing accessible opportunities for singers from all backgrounds to work with award-winning choral conductor William Prideaux to develop their skills, rehearse in a relaxed and informal way and perform in a variety of settings.

They made a fantastic debut performing in Christmas Magic at Peterborough Cathedral in December 2019, also featuring in the Peterborough Sings! Choral Celebration at The Cresset in March 2020. After taking a break during the pandemic, they returned stronger than ever, taking part in Christmas Magic 2021, Men United in Song, Sing for Life and Christmas Magic 2022 as well as performing highlights from their repertoire in their own informal concerts in the beautiful setting of All Saints Church, Peterborough.

Absolutely love singing with these guys, and feel honoured to be part of the wider Peterborough Sings! family!

In the wake of the pandemic, group singing is more popular than ever with proven benefits for both physical and mental health. Singing promotes self-confidence, self-esteem and social inclusion, and many of our singers have described their singing journey as ‘empowering’ and even ‘life-changing’.

Peterborough Community Chorus ALWAYS welcomes new members who want to learn to sing in a relaxed and informal setting and no previous experience is necessary.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings during school term time and take place at the John Mansfield Campus, Western Avenue, Peterborough PE1 4HX.

We hope our page will inspire you to get involved and give singing a try…that’s what we’re all about! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’d love to hear from you so you can start YOUR singing journey!
