Facebook Inspiration: Rethinking Our Choir Marketing

As choirs, our online presence is effectively our front door, sharing our story and inviting new members in.

But take a moment to look at the ‘typical’ Facebook profile of many male choirs, and you’ll likely see a familiar mix of concerts in churches, raffle prizes, obituary posts, and funeral performances.

And while these moments are absolutely meaningful, they don’t reflect the vibrant, welcoming spirit we want to share with the public or give the impression that the choir is a lively, engaging group that new members might want to be part of!

Instead, let’s draw inspiration from groups like The Sunday Boys, whose Instagram captures a fresh, proud, and relatable story that people want to buy into.

Let’s showcase the joy, energy, and learning that defines our choirs and share bright, lively photos of rehearsals, testimonials from new members, or short videos of warm-ups or exciting moments during practice.

Remember, your next potential member might be browsing online right now, looking for something meaningful and welcoming.

Is your choir’s online presence inviting, aspirational, and reflective of the community you’re building?

If not, it’s time to make a change…
